It’s now January of 2012, we’re officially in the first quarter of the year and we are anticipating a release sometime before the end of March. As I discussed in my last article about Diablo’s release date, we usually see launch date announcements come right around 2 months before their date. Today, Bashiok a community manager at Blizzard hinted at an announcement by the end of the week here.

Will we see a release date this week? It certainly seems like that’s possible. The excitement of the holidays has died down and the new year is upon us. I’m expecting to hear a release date of sometime in February, but it could be much sooner considering how long Blizzard has been getting ready.
