That’s right, you heard it here first! Diablo 3′s release date will be April 17th. Okay, you got me. It’s just a rumor. A very popular rumor. So popular that you probably heard it before you saw it here ):

Is it true? If it isn’t, the release date is going to be damn close to April 17th. Earlier this year Blizzard suggested that they would give us a 2 month warning which would mean that they can’t release in April anymore since it’s already March 3rd. Jay Wilson (D3 Game Director) said that he couldn’t confirm or deny. Usually they deny this type of thing or at least scoff at it. I’m thinking there is some truth to this considering that yesterday Jay Wilson told us that we are 9 of 10 away from having an official release date announcement.

They are going to announce very soon. April 17th is the rumor. A two-month warning has been suggested, but we have nothing solid. I think there’s a really good chance we hear something tomorrow, Sunday, about the release. Chances are by the time you read this there will already be a release! Awesome!
